Part-Time STR Operations & Sales Coordinator – Remote

The Rentalists is seeking a hands-on Operations & Sales Coordinator to help build and grow our remote short-term rental management company.

This is an opportunity to help develop a growing company from the ground up. The right person will initially perform essential sales and operational work while helping us create processes that can eventually be delegated to a larger team.

This is not a traditional management position where you will only supervise other employees. You must be comfortable personally calling leads, preparing property evaluations, following up with prospective clients, onboarding properties, and creating operational systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contact new inbound leads quickly during scheduled working hours
  • Speak professionally with short-term rental owners
  • Qualify prospective clients and schedule sales appointments
  • Follow up by telephone, text, and email
  • Gather property information and Airbnb or Vrbo listing links
  • Prepare and send property revenue evaluations
  • Help convert qualified prospects into paying clients
  • Coordinate agreements and new-client onboarding
  • Set up properties inside our management systems
  • Create checklists, templates, workflows, and standard operating procedures
  • Track leads and opportunities using GoHighLevel
  • Identify operational problems and help develop practical solutions
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress updates

Additional Responsibilities

The Rentalists will be the primary focus. Depending on workload and availability, this position may also assist with:

  • Report Genius, our established short-term rental revenue-management company
  • Earl Deans Home Services, our cleaning and home-services company

Qualifications

  • Experience in short-term rentals, vacation rentals, hospitality, property management, revenue management, inside sales, or a related field
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Confident, personable, and professional telephone presence
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assignments
  • Able to create processes while also performing the daily work
  • Comfortable learning new software and working across multiple related businesses
  • Available during agreed weekday hours in the U.S. Central Time Zone
  • Interested in growing into a larger operations-management position

Experience with Airbnb, Vrbo, PriceLabs, Hospitable, Guesty, GoHighLevel, Google Workspace, or similar systems is preferred but not required.

Schedule

  • Approximately 10–15 hours per week to begin
  • Weekday Central Time availability required
  • Additional hours may become available as the company grows
  • Potential to develop into a full-time Operations Manager position

Compensation

  • $12–$15 per hour, depending on relevant experience
  • Additional revenue share based on management fees collected from qualifying clients the employee helps close and onboard
  • Compensation and responsibilities reviewed after 90 days or when The Rentalists reaches 25 active properties

To Apply

Please include brief answers to the following questions:

  • What short-term rental, hospitality, property-management, or sales experience do you have?
  • Have you called and followed up with inbound sales leads?
  • Have you prepared rental projections or property evaluations?
  • Which relevant systems have you used?
  • What weekday hours are you available in the Central Time Zone?

Selected applicants will be invited to a brief telephone interview.

We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership, help build a growing company, and develop into a larger leadership position.

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
