This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while having the opportunity to make an impact on our clients' lives. As a WC Defense Attorney, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of workers' compensation defense cases. This is a challenging role that requires a unique blend of skills and experience. If you're looking for a position that will allow you to leverage your skills, drive results, and make a difference, this is the role for you.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br><br><ul><li> Provide aggressive representation for clients in all phases of workers' compensation defense litigation from inception to resolution.</li><li> Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients.</li><li> Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, opinions, orders, and subpoenas.</li><li> Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.</li><li> Conduct and defend depositions of claimants, medical personnel, and other parties.</li><li> Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in mediation and informal settlement conferences.</li><li> Maintain excellent client relationships through regular communication, providing updates on case status and progress.<br></li></ul>Qualifications:<br><br><ul><li> Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.</li><li> Admission to the Bar in good standing.</li><li> Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a WC Defense Attorney.</li><li> Proven track record in workers' compensation defense litigation.</li><li> Exceptional knowledge of current WC laws and regulations, court rules, and procedures.</li><li> Strong advocacy, research, and negotiation skills.</li><li> Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li> Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.</li><li> High level of independence and initiative.</li><li> Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.</li><li> Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li> Comfortable working remotely and able to use digital communication tools effectively.<br></li></ul>This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and handle a high level of responsibility.
