Our VPC model allows physicians to build ongoing patient relationships while practicing evidence-based primary care in a flexible virtual environment. The program is supported by MD LIVE and The Cigna Group and serves millions of individuals with access to Virtual Primary Care benefits.  

About the VPC Role

Our Virtual Primary Care physicians are board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and provide comprehensive, longitudinal care for patients with both preventive and chronic healthcare needs. Physicians manage conditions and concerns commonly seen in outpatient primary care, including:

  • Diabetes

  • Hypertension

  • Hyperlipidemia

  • Obesity and GLP-1 management

  • Women's health and menopause care

  • Men's health concerns

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Preventive and wellness care

We are particularly interested in physicians who are passionate about patient engagement, chronic disease management, preventive health, and building meaningful patient relationships through a virtual care model.

Qualified candidates typically possess:

  • American Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of current outpatient primary care experience

  • Experience managing chronic conditions across diverse patient populations

  • A commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care

  • Additional experience in Lifestyle Medicine, Obesity Medicine, Women's Health, Men's Health, or telemedicine is highly valued.

Scheduling & Compensation

We ask physicians to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week of scheduled VPC availability, with opportunities to expand hours based on personal preference and patient demand.

We reimburse per completed consultation for Annual Wellness Visits, Routine or Follow-up Visits, and we also compensate for patient no-shows.
