<p><strong>Customer Care - Fully Remote position in Property & Casualty. </strong></p> <p><strong>Start Date:  May 4, 2026</strong></p> <p><strong>Schedule:  Must be able to work any shift that falls between the hours of 7:00 am - 8:00 pm CST Monday-Friday - some Saturday's required (10 am - 2 pm CST). </strong></p> <p>In this role, you will primarily support <strong>educators</strong> by addressing inquiries about their auto and property insurance policies. Through phone calls, emails, and live chats, you will provide exceptional <strong>customer service</strong>, helping our clients protect their valuable assets.</p> <p>No license or experience in Insurance? No problem! Horace Mann will provide the necessary training and support to help you obtain your <strong>Property & Casualty License</strong> if you do not already have one.</p> <p>If you have a <strong>passion</strong> for supporting educators and making a meaningful <strong>impact</strong>, this role could be a great fit for you.</p> <p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop strong knowledge of Horace Mann Property and Casualty insurance products, services and policies.</li> <li>Handle and problem solve customers' inquiries via phone, email, and chats.</li> <li>Responsible for ensuring a great customer experience in both written and verbal communications.</li> <li>Maintain quality and compliance within every interaction by adhering to all applicable company and state rules and regulations.</li> <li>Responsible for proactive up-sell and cross-sell of insurance solutions to existing customer base.</li> </ul> <p>* Duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed *</p> <p><strong><u>Requirements</u></strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education and Experience:</strong> <ul> <li>H.S. diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).</li> <li>2+ years of customer service/business/sales experience preferred.</li> <li>Insurance or Finance industry experience helpful.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Licensing and Training:</strong> <ul> <li>Successfully complete the Service Representative Trainee Program</li> <li>Obtain and maintain Insurance Producers License and Non-Residence License within 12 months of hire and maintain after that</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Skills and Abilities:</strong> <ul> <li>Basic math skills and billing interpretation skills.</li> <li>Effective communication, both written and verbally – ability to identify unmet customer needs and provide solutions.</li> <li>Demonstrate active listening, system navigation, research, problem-solving, critical thinking, organization and time management skills.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Work Environment and Schedule:</strong> <ul> <li>Internet speed of at least 10 mb/s download 1mb/s upload – Verification required.</li> <li><strong>Employee must have a private, organized location removed from daily household distractions.</strong></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Work location is flexible if approved by the Company except that the position may not be performed remotely in New York, California, Colorado, Washington, New Jersey, Maryland, Alaska, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oregon, or Rhode Island. </span></strong></p> <p>Pay Range: $16.20 - $25.43 per hr. </p> <p>Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.</p> <p>#APP</p> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Horace Mann was founded in 1945 by two Springfield, Illinois, teachers who saw a need for quality, affordable auto insurance for teachers.
