This opportunity will remain online based on business needs which may be before or after the specified date.<br><br><strong>Role Description</strong><br><br>As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join GFiber's Billing and Payments engineering team. The team is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining GFiber's billing and payment engineering systems. In this role, your understanding of billing and payments systems and hands-on software engineering skills are key aspects that can help you to work on the technical aspects, work with product teams, business analysts, etc., to bring success to the organization. Some of these systems include 3rd party products like Salesforce, Zuora, Adyen, as well as in-house Kotlin microservices running on Google Cloud. The team is highly visible and works closely with partners across engineering and cross-functional teams. You'll apply industry standard implementation patterns for building and maintaining billing and payments functions for GFiber, enhancing existing configurations, software end to end and optimizing performance for maximum efficiency will be counted upon every day.<br><br><strong>In this role, you'll:</strong><br><ul><li>Design and implement scalable, robust, and industry-best-practice-compliant solutions in the space of billing and payments. Integrate with backend applications while carefully assessing functional and non-functional trade-offs. Understand, troubleshoot & perform software enhancements involved in different systems related to billing and payment engineering.</li><li>Lead a team of distributed backend engineers, fostering a team culture of collaboration by providing space to ask and provide technical guidance and the sharing of ideas.</li><li>Leverage Zuora, Adyen and Kotlin microservices to build, design, secure and manage billing and payments APIs and features. Use Kotlin and related technologies, including Spring Boot and other related frameworks.</li><li>Collaborate with internal development and cross-functional teams such as technical program managers, engineering managers and other engineers.Enforce code review processes that adhere to our established coding standards.</li><li>Vigilantly support monthly billing processes and participate in an on-call rotation to respond to billing emergencies.</li></ul><br><strong>At a minimum we'd like you to have:</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.</li><li>7 years of experience in developing payment or billing systems utilizing platforms like Adyen and/or Zuora; and demonstrated successful delivery of these systems.</li><li>5 years of experience in software design and development using Java and/or Kotlin to build services related to billing/payment processing.</li></ul><br><strong>It's preferred if you have:</strong><br><ul><li>Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.</li><li>Proficiency in Java and Kotlin and using development tools such as Github and Harness.io.</li><li>Experience developing for Google Cloud Platform.</li><li>Experience developing systems integrated with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Vlocity, Marketing Cloud).</li></ul><br><br>The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $156,800 - $229,700 + bonus + cash award + benefits.
