Job Description:

  • Coach, mentor, educate, motivate, and train a team of sales individuals
  • Lead Medicare sales activities in the Buffalo market
  • Resolve operational problems and provide creative solutions to increase sales while following CMS guidelines
  • Cultivate, maintain, and build relationships with Humana customers, internal and external business partners, and the community
  • Conduct telephonic, virtual, and face-to-face interactions with individuals and groups
  • Develop marketing budgets and identify branding opportunities
  • Meet team members and members face to face in the field
  • Attend periodic appointments and events, potentially including evenings and weekends
  • Travel to Humana offices for training or meetings as required

Requirements:

  • Must reside in the Buffalo, NY area or be willing to relocate
  • Active Health Insurance license
  • 2+ years of Medicare sales or other related sales experience
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Experience leading a team of sales associates, training in successful sales techniques, educational presentation skills, utilizing technology tools, and building relationships with communities and medical providers
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, various CRM platforms, and various iPhone app capabilities
  • Strong leadership and sales production background
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Community Engagement/Grassroots experience in marketing Medicare plans in the community
  • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance meeting at least 25/25/10 coverage limits, or higher based on state requirements
  • Active Life Insurance License preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Strong background working in Medicare and the health solutions industry preferred
  • Project management background or certification a plus
  • Bilingual ability to speak, read, and write in an additional language without limitations or assistance preferred
  • Must complete the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test if speaking with members in a language other than English
  • Must maintain required internet speed of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload when working from home
  • Must work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
  • Must attend the first five weeks of employment and training
