You will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving network-related issues while collaborating with other teams to maintain a seamless and secure network environment.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities/Essential Functions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Network Monitoring:</li><li></li><ul><li>Monitor network devices, servers, and services through NOC monitoring tools to ensure continuous and optimal performance.</li><li>Proactively identify network issues, service disruptions, and outages, and escalate to higher-level teams if necessary.</li><li>Track network performance metrics and log incidents for resolution and reporting.</li></ul><li>Incident Management:</li><li></li><ul><li>Respond to and resolve network alarms, alerts, and incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime.</li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, outages, and performance problems.</li><li>Escalate unresolved issues or complex incidents to senior engineers or appropriate teams.</li></ul><li>Troubleshooting and Support:</li><li></li><ul><li>Provide first-level troubleshooting for network hardware, software, and connectivity issues.</li><li>Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve hardware failures and software glitches.</li><li>Perform routine checks on network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.</li></ul><li>Documentation & Reporting:</li><li></li><ul><li>Maintain detailed incident logs, including troubleshooting steps and resolution timelines.</li><li>Provide daily, weekly, and monthly network performance reports to the NOC Supervisor.</li><li>Create and update troubleshooting documentation and knowledge base articles.</li></ul><li>Collaboration & Communication:</li><li></li><ul><li>Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., Systems, Security, and Infrastructure) to ensure network issues are resolved effectively.</li><li>Communicate network status updates to internal teams and customers as necessary.</li><li>Work effectively within a team environment to achieve operational goals.</li></ul><li>Maintenance & Routine Tasks:</li><li></li><ul><li>Assist in scheduled maintenance, network upgrades, and configuration changes under guidance.</li><li>Perform basic network device configuration and firmware updates as directed by senior NOC analysts or engineers.</li></ul><li>Continuous Improvement:</li><li></li><ul><li>Stay updated on industry best practices, network technologies, and tools.</li><li>Suggest improvements to monitoring processes, procedures, and tools.<br></li></ul></ul><strong>Education/Experience<br><br></strong><strong><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></strong><strong><strong>:<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field is preferred.</li><li>0-2 years of experience in network monitoring, IT support, or related technical roles.</li><li>Basic knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).</li><li>Understanding of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) and protocols.</li><li>Knowledge of common operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.) and networking troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, etc.).</li><li>Basic familiarity with network management systems and network monitoring software.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Understand critical milestones that drive operational excellence.</li><li>Shift-based work including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the NOC coverage schedule and on-call availability as required by operational needs.</li><li>Basic technical knowledge.</li><li>Proficiency in the use of a computer, and software applications including Microsoft Office.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Highly organized and attentive to detail, with the ability to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously (multi-task).</li><li>Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with personnel at all levels, both within and outside the company.</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on a highly productive team.</li><li>Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.</li><li>Easily takes initiative and works independently.</li><li>Maturity, professionalism, and good work ethic.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, etc.) is a plus.</li><li>Experience with MikroTik</li><li>Experience with Ruckus</li><li>Experience with managed WiFi networks.</li><li>CompTIA Network+ certification or similar networking certifications.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud networking and related technologies.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Benefits<br><br></strong><ul><li>Join a dynamic, fast-growing company where you will have the opportunity to make an immediate, high-level impact to Aerwave’s growth and success.</li><li>Clear line of sight for career advancement and significant accomplishments.</li><li>Base salary that is externally competitive and bonuses and ad-hoc recognition awards, that are based on efforts and tied to performance.</li><li>We work hard at Aerwave, and you will too.
