Shifts:

  • 2 Weekdays / week 7:00-16:00
  • OPTIONAL: weekend farmer’s market stall

Hourly rate: Starting at £13.15/h

We’re looking for a hands-on Empanada Production Assistant to join our kitchen team and support our Empanada Chef in producing our popular handmade empanadas.

This is a great opportunity for someone with kitchen experience who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and grow with the role. You’ll work closely with our chef to prepare fillings, assemble empanadas, and bake them fresh for our shops and customers.

Over time, the role will involve learning the full production process so that you can confidently step in and run production when our chef is on leave.

There is also the option to take on an extra day selling empanadas at a weekend farmer’s market (if of interest).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting our Empanada Chef with day-to-day production
  • Preparing ingredients and assisting with fillings and dough
  • Assembling empanadas with care and consistency
  • Baking empanadas using a commercial oven
  • Keeping the kitchen organised, clean and efficient
  • Learning the full production workflow with the aim of eventually running production independently when needed
  • OPTIONAL: Selling empanadas at a weekend Farmer’s Market

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone with previous kitchen experience
  • Experience baking and operating a commercial oven
  • Hardworking, focused and comfortable maintaining a good pace
  • Organised and reliable with a good eye for detail
  • Familiarity with empanadas (experience making them is a bonus!)
  • Someone keen to learn, take ownership and grow into the role

Why Work With Us?

  • 40% staff discount
  • Be part of a supportive, values-driven team
  • Opportunity to grow with a fast-moving, mission-led business
  • Potential for this part-time role to develop into a full-time position
  • Work somewhere that feels good—ethically, socially and creatively
