Shoppers now discover, evaluate, and buy in atomized moments, not linear funnels.<br><br><ul><li>This role is ideal for someone who sits at the intersection of analytics + insight + eCommerce, bringing the “art and science” needed to translate complex data into clear, actionable growth outcomes.</li><li>Incremental headcount required to support focus area of eCommerce and Amazon specifically, where regaining share across our portfolio is a priority.</li><li>The Amazon Insight Shopper Lead is a pivotal role that blends eCommerce analytics, shopper insights, and storytelling to unlock growth. You will lead the understanding of the Amazon and eCommerce shopper, synthesizing insights from platforms such as Stackline (Beacon, Atlas), Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), Circana, Numerator, and be proficient and conducting your own custom research to influence decisions across Sales, Retail Commerce, and BU Marketing.<br><br></li></ul><strong>In this role, you will:<br><br></strong><strong>We believe great insights don't end with analysis; they inspire better decisions.<br><br></strong><ul><li>Develop forward-looking shopper and category point of views that help Clorox and Amazon anticipate where shoppers, categories, and retail are headed—not just where they've been.</li><li>Develop a deep understanding of Amazon shoppers by uncovering the behaviors, motivations, missions, and trends that influence purchase decisions across physical and digital commerce.</li><li>Influence decisions across category strategy, assortment, pricing, innovation, merchandising, digital commerce, and retailer engagement.</li><li>Integrate shopper research, syndicated data, retailer analytics, digital commerce insights, and market intelligence into clear business recommendations.</li><li>Identify growth opportunities across categories, brands, shopping missions, and occasions through advanced analytics and consumer understanding.</li><li>Lead category and shopper learning plans that answer critical business questions and influence commercial strategy.</li><li>Create compelling, insight-led stories that simplify complex information and inspire action with internal leaders and Amazon partners.</li><li>Partner closely with Field Sales, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Retail Media, and Data & Analytics teams to solve business challenges.</li><li>Leverage emerging capabilities, including AI-enabled analytics to accelerate insight generation and improve decision making.</li><li>Help shape omnichannel strategies by understanding how shoppers move across stores, Amazon.com, pickup, delivery, and digital touchpoints.</li><li>Directly shaping critical Amazon engagements including (AVNs) and Clorox planning moments of Category Strategy Reviews, Commercial Plan Reviews and Multi-Year planning re – targeting the highest value shoppers, with the right assortment and value offering.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Opportunity to Shape the Future<br><br></strong>This is more than an insights and analytics role. You'll help define how Clorox uses shopper understanding to create competitive advantage with Amazon. From AI-enabled analytics to omnichannel commerce and retailer partnerships, you'll influence strategic decisions across some of our biggest brands. Your work won't end with dashboards and analysis it will shape business decisions.<br><br><strong>What we look for:<br><br></strong><ul><li>7+ years of experience in Shopper Insights, Consumer Insights, Category Management, Analytics, Customer Insights, or related fields.</li><li>Amazon experience required, working with a large retailer a plus (e.g. Walmart) and emerging platform experience a plus (e.g. Instacart, Doordash).</li><li>Strong foundation in both consumer/shopper research and advanced analytics.</li><li>Experience presenting insights and recommendations directly to retail customers and senior business leaders.</li><li>Demonstrated success influencing commercial decisions through insight-driven storytelling.</li><li>Ability to frame business questions, develop learning plans, test hypotheses, and translate findings into action.</li><li>Deep understanding of consumer and shopper research methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, syndicated, and behavioral data.</li><li>Experience developing shopper, category, and path-to-purchase insights that influence commercial strategy.</li><li>Identify and anticipate emerging shopper behaviors, macro trends, and future growth opportunities before they become obvious in the business.</li><li>Experience synthesizing multiple data sources into clear, actionable growth-driving recommendations.</li><li>Strong storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses for senior leaders and retailer partners.</li><li>Amazon Marketing Cloud, Stackline, Stackline Omni Shopper Analytics platform required (or demonstrated ability to quickly learn retailer-specific analytics platforms) required.</li><li>Syndicated data (Circana, NielsenIQ, Numerator) experienced working knowledge and ability.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Workplace type:<br><br></strong>Hybrid: This role will ideally be located out of the Pleasanton, CA area, with the ability to be in office 3x per week. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location.
